Invited to The Ritz for the first time to perform a face-off against other bands competing for a chance to open for a national act there. The stipulation was that each band had to learn a Queen song within a week and nail it come showtime. The guys appropriately chose the Metallica version of "Stone Cold Crazy," begun with the acappella chorus of "Fat Bottomed Girls."
